Practical Parenting & Pregnancy Awards 2012/13

Hooray! We’ve been shortlisted for the Practical Parenting & Pregnancy Awards 2012/2013.

Galt Toys has two products up for awards this year; our Playnest® Car in the ‘toddler and preschooler toy over £40’ category and our Activity Pony is in the ‘learning and development toy over £20’ category.

Practical parenting and pregnancy magazine has been trusted by mums and mums-to-be for 25 years and we would love them to choose our products to win this year’s award and recognise our great product performance and value for money!

We appreciate that one of the most important parts  of a child’s learning and development is imaginative play.  At around 9 months, a baby is learning by exploring every area of his or her environment, so stimulation and imaginative play are very important during a child’s early developmental years.

Here at Galt we aim to encourage this with all our toys…just check out our two shortlisted products below.

The Playnest® car – It is a self-contained play area for safe and secure imaginative play. The detachable electronic dashboard gives babies a fun driving experience complete with engine start-up sounds, honking horn and radio. This product offers great support for babies and with all sorts of different sounds to explore and a boot packed with toys, it provides the perfect environment to stimulate a child’s cognitive development and keep them entertained.

Activity Pony – Allows babies from three months to gallop along in their development with features specifically designed to aid developmental progression and imaginative play.   With a friendly face, bright colours, textures and sounds, fleece tail and mane, squeaky ear, jingle rosette and corduroy saddle, the Activity Pony will soon become a familiar friend to ride on, lean against during play, or just to cuddle and squeeze to hear its delighted neigh sound.

Our products will now be judged on how closely they fit the following winning criteria; Practicality, ease of use, value for money and quality. We think we’re pretty good at all four, so let’s hope the judges agree!

Wish us Luck and we’ll let you know how we do!
