Face of Galt Competition – Winners Announced

Over the last few months we have been on the search for four lucky children to be our official toy testers, star on the website and win £250 worth of toys for the family! Our toy development judges have viewed all the wonderful entries and have now made their final decision. And the winners are….

Drum roll please….

Finley Wakefield, aged 10 months from Stevenage who won the Baby Galt category; Dexter Hughes, aged 2 from Yorkshire who will be stepping into the shoes of Professor Galt; Noah Warrilow, aged 3 from Oxford who will be donning the beret of Leonardo DiGaltci, and Kizzy McDonald aged 9 from Shropshire who will be crowned Princess Galt.

We’d like to say a MASSIVE ‘thank you’ to all the parents who entered their child into the competition; we had some fantastic entries which made the judging very difficult and had the Galt team in stitches!

A big congratulations to our four lucky winners, who are the real toy testers now:

Finley Wakefield, aged 10 months from Stevenage

Dexter Hughes, aged 2 from Yorkshire

Noah Warrilow, aged 3 from Oxford

Kizzy McDonald aged 9 from Shropshire

February Half-Term – Get Creative with Galt Toys!

It only seems a few weeks ago that it was Christmas and yet here we are again – February half-term!  And you dread hearing the words – “I’m bored, there’s nothing to do!”  So the creative team at Galt have put together a few suggestions to entertain the kids….

Make your own Origami Boat

Make & Dos – our Activity Zone is packed with them! Everything from Slimy Slime, Origami Boats  to a Papier-mâché pig and photo frames, you can make it all for free, by downloading the instructions off the website. Do remember to upload your Make & Do photos to our Facebook page….we’d love to see how you got on!

Board games at the ready – who doesn’t love a good board game? From the traditional Snakes and Ladders, to the utterly new Ants in Your Pants and Whatever Next;  board games are simply ‘great fun’ for all kids of all ages. They develop skills like concentration, counting and coordination increasing a child’s cognitive development.

Fairy T-Shirt

Design your own T-shirt – we have a fantastic Fairy T-shirt set, which is super cool for any little princess. They’ll be able to design their own T-shirt with the fun fabric crayons and transfer paper, by colouring a picture on the front and two small ones for the sleeves. Plus their own fairy wings for the back to complete the look and fly through the rest of the half-term.

Cinema trip – set aside time to treat the kids to a trip to the cinema, great for you to relax for a while too, while they are glued to the big screen. There are plenty of films out, or set to be released, over the coming days! But make sure you pick the right movie to take the little ones to see….think we’d pick The Puppets (PG)

Cooking – make the most of your time together by getting creative in the kitchen. Cook some yummy cookies or cupcakes – anything they’d enjoy eating later – plus licking the big wooden spoon is always a lot of fun! The brilliant thing about baking together is you are teaching your children some valuable skills, like maths, reading and team work, plus you get something scrummy to eat together at the end!

Hope you have a fantastic half-term, and whatever you are up to, we would love to hear about it…..
